As electric vehicles (EVs) gain ground across Southeast Asia, Charge+ is rapidly emerging as a backbone of the region’s charging infrastructure. Charge+ has steadily expanded its footprint across Singapore and Malaysia, and recent developments indicate a fresh acceleration in its role and ambitions.

Through a combination of expansion in Singapore and strategic infrastructure deployment in Malaysia, Charge+ is shaping the future of EV charging across borders.

Singapore: Taking over leading EV provider’s charging stations

On 27 November 2025, it was announced that TotalEnergies Charging Services Singapore will cease its EV-charging operations in Singapore by 31 December 2025, transferring its charging-point network to other operators at the request of the local regulator, the Land Transport Authority (LTA). Under the handover plan, the chargers will be progressively reassigned to LTA-designated operators by year-end.

In this shift, Charge+ has confirmed it will take over 63 charging stations from TotalEnergies. Over the coming weeks, the company aims to deploy these chargers under its own management.

Previously, Charge+ had already demonstrated a clear commitment to supporting residential areas: as of early 2025, the company began rolling out its first fast chargers in open-air HDB carparks. Those installations were developed to accommodate rising EV adoption among everyday drivers, making EV charging more accessible across public housing estates.

Malaysia & Cross-Border Expansion: Building a Regional EV Charging Backbone

Johor Bahru – First DC Fast Charger at the Causeway

Charge+ recently launched its first DC fast-charging station in Johor Bahru, located at the hotel Capri by Fraser Johor Bahru. The charger, a “Turbo360” 60 kW DC unit, was installed in partnership with the hospitality group SKS Group.

Strategically located just two minutes from the Johor–Singapore Causeway checkpoint, this site is positioned to serve both Malaysian EV users and Singaporean drivers. Charge+ has revealed that this is the first of five planned DC fast-charging sites under its collaboration with SKS Group in Johor. The broader rollout is expected to significantly improve charging accessibility in Johor Bahru city centre.

Kuala Lumpur – Hyper-charging Hub at KL Eco City

In October 2025, Charge+, in partnership with the developer S P Setia and EV-maker XPENG, officially launched a hyper-charging hub at KL Eco City, located in Kuala Lumpur. The charging station features up to 350 kW DC charging capacity, currently the fastest public charging station in the city.

This KL site forms part of a larger ambition: Charge+ and XPENG have announced plans for a regional “supercharging network” across Southeast Asia, targeting at least 20 ultra-fast DC locations spanning Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Further, the KL Eco City hub feeds into Charge+’s larger vision of a 5,000 km EV charging highway across Southeast Asia, connecting cities from Singapore to Hanoi, offering long-distance EV drivers a reliable and high-speed charging backbone across the region.
